A PGA Member since 1988, Fran has 40 years of teaching and coaching experience. He has been ranked among the Top Instructors in the State of Maryland by Golf Digest Magazine since 2000 and was awarded Middle Atlantic PGA Teacher of the Year in 2011. Fran was selected as the best Golf Instructor in the Washington Metropolitan area in 2003 by the Washingtonian magazine. Fran is a Certified Professional in the field of Instruction by the PGA of America.
Fran was the full time putting coach for Grayson Murray, RIP, on the PGA TOUR from 2022 to 2024 and continues to work with Rod Pampling, PGA Tour Champions. Fran served as the Director of Instruction at TPC Potomac from 1999 to 2021 and continues to coach there part time. He also conducts advanced putting schools at various clubs in the MAPGA. Fran is the Founder and Developer of the Flight Deck putting trainer in use by touring professionals and coaches on every major tour around the world.

Qualified for the 1980 United States Amateur Public Links Championship; 1984 Baltimore City Amateur Champion; NJCAA Region XX Individual Champion; 1985 Maryland State Open, 5th place; 1991 Tom Strange Trophy for MVP of the MAPGA Chapter Challenge Cup Matches; Qualified for the 1990, 2000 and 2002 PGA Club Professional Championships; Fran has over 25 MAPGA sanctioned event tournament wins and qualified for the 1989 and 1991 Anheuser Busch Classic, PGATOUR. Fran’s lowest competitive 18 hole score is 64.
